Pharmathen S.A. has issued a Class 4 Medicines Defect Information – Caution in Use. In relation to:
Grepid 75 mg film coated tablets (Kent Pharma Livery) -PLGB 17277/0398
There is no impact to the product quality or safety and due to considerations that clopidogrel is only available as a Prescription Only Medicine, these batches are not being recalled.
This notification is to advised Healthcare professionals to exercise caution when handling the listed product. The affected batches of the product simply have ‘POM’ missing from the outer carton (box). The caution in use requirement is to flag this, to ensure that they stored accordingly and in line with the guidance for the storage of Prescription Only Medicines (POM).
