NationWide Laboratories (NWL) is a UK based UKAS Accredited Testing Laboratory, offering full interpretation in a range of testing areas, including biochemistry, haematology, endocrinology, cytology, histopathology, and microbiology. Part of National Veterinary Services Limited (NVSL), NWL offers service and support that you can trust.
Since 1983 NWL’s team of in-house and associate pathologists, scientists and customer excellence specialists have been dedicated to supporting veterinary practices. It’s their firm belief that scientific investigations are only part of their role, and they extend the same dedication and care to their clients and patients as they do to their analysis.
Thanks to a wealth of knowledge in veterinary and biomedical sciences, their expert teams can assist you in making decisions on relevant testing for companion, exotic, and farm animals, supporting you with even the most challenging and complex of cases. They draw upon multidisciplinary skills and, if necessary, collaborate with specialists in other areas such as parasitologists, microbiologists or exotic animal consultants, to arrange additional tests and better interpret results.
NWL operate an independent National EQA scheme for all practices and for a wide range of analytical equipment brands. They also provide diagnostic veterinary histopathology services to veterinary practitioners and universities throughout the UK and the rest of the world.
But their interest does not stop at the point of diagnosis however, they’re involved in pioneering veterinary medicine research, contributing to publications using client generated samples and those gathered in collaboration with other veterinary centres and universities.
As a centre of educational excellence, NWL offer the veterinary community a wide range of free and reasonably priced CPD. Their pathologists are among 30,000 STEM volunteers inspiring school children across the UK and educating them about the veterinary profession and laboratory careers.
